Munkstigen via ferrata
Munkstigen Via Ferrata is a wonderful climbing experience for the whole family offering spectacular views of the Trondheimsfjord.
The Munkstigen climbing path is 950 m long. The whole trip takes an average of 3-5 hours, depending on whether you use it as a workout or allow plenty of time to enjoy the view. The price includes rental of equipment and pick-up at the express boat quay at Vanvikan. The first part of the climbing trail is in hilly terrain. Although it’s not so steep, it includes some challenges. If you manage the challenges in first part of the climbing route, you will have no problem completing the rest too. At the end of the first stage, you arrive at a plateau where you can catch your breath. If you don’t wish to continue, you can take the “regret path” from this plateau down to the car park. However, one of the most spectacular climbing sections is just before you reach this plateau. It includes one of our steepest walls so it’s important to use the correct climbing technique. You will learn the climbing techniques at Hindrum Fjordsenter after registering and receiving your rental equipment.
If you wish to be accompanied on the route by a guide, an additional charge of NOK 1,000 applies.
