HISTORICAL SURROUNDINGS
Krambua
Krambugata was called Kaupmannastrede and was long ago the city’s main street. It went from Brattørgata up to Kongsgården by Nidarosdomen. The street was named after the merchants who had their business here, facing the street, and the wharves behind which extended all the way to the river. Later, the street was known as Nedre Strede because it was the lower part of the main street. In the 18th century it changed its name to the Kremmer Strait (Krambugata). The whole quarter was called the Art Nouveau quarter.
Krambua is a light-hearted eatery with long traditions, offering lunch, dinner and banquet facilities.
