Fairytale Wedding

The museum has it all – unique atmosphere in a traditional cultural landscape, churches for weddings and beautiful areas for outdoor ceremonies, receptions and photography. You can also choose from a number of function rooms in different styles and sizes.

Lo Church – Atmospheric log church from the first half of the 17th century. The timber walls frame a simple and beautiful interior with closed rows of benches and a beautiful pulpit. Above the altar in the choir hangs a copy of a medieval crucifix from Mosvik. The church seats 77 guests.

Haltdalen Stave Church – If you want an intimate and special setting for your wedding, the stave church at Sverresborg is the place for you. The church was built in the Middle Ages, more specifically in 1179. Today, the church is located in the museum’s beautiful park area. The stave church is suitable for smaller weddings.

Say yes in the open air! Do you prefer a ceremony in the open air? Then the open-air museum offers a number of exciting possibilities, everything from distinctive yard areas with beautiful buildings to the ruins of King Sverre’s medieval castle – with a panoramic view of central Trondheim.

As icing on the cake – what about a ride with horse and cart, or a ride in a veteran car?
