TRAVELING TO TRONDHEIM
Hurtigruten is well known all over the world as one of the most scening trips by boat. The boats uses in total 5-6 days along the Norwegian coast all the way from Bergen on the west coast to Kirkenes in the north. They have departures from both cities every day, 365 days a year. It stops in many of the most exciting places along the way and Trondheim is of course a natural stop. You can either use Hurtigruten to start your Trondheim adventure, or you are welcome to explore the city in the approx. three hour stopover you’ll have if travelling all the way with Hurtigruten.
Coastal Express and Ferries
From Brattøra harbour the coastal express leaves several times a day. Bring your bike free of charge and go on a day trip to Ørlandet, visit a deer farm at Hitra or go to Vanvikan to climb Via Ferrata. There are many exciting places you can reach by boat from Trondheim.
There is a landing for embarkment and disembarkment on all boats. The crew will assist you with disembarkment if requested. In cases of high or low water, there may be need for assistance at some docks.
