Trondheim Torg

Right in the heart of downtown Trondheim, you find the city’s largest shopping center, the aptly named Trondheim Torg. At Trondheim Torg you find 70 stores, offering clothing, shoes, accessories, wellness products, home goods and interior decor as well as food and drink.

The facade is covered in mosaics by local artist Roar Wold (1971), and inside the shopping center the bronze elephant statue, “Young African,” by Skule Waksvik (1980) is a popular meeting point for locals. Part of the shopping center is made up of converted historical wooden houses, which have served as local shopping facilities as far back as the early 1900s.
