THE CITY THEATRE
ENJOY THE NORWEGIAN STAGE
The Oldest Theatre in Norway
The Theatre is, and should be, a shared reflection room, a room that challenges and moves us. Trøndelag Theatre dates from 1816 and is Norway’s oldest theatre building. A modern addition was added in 1997 to coincide with Trondheim’s millennium celebrations. The theatre has performances on five stages.
Going to the theatre is popular and tickets tend to be sold out early, so if you want to be sure to get tickets to a show it is recommended to book as early as possible. Note that the shows are in Norwegian.
