Walk of Peace

Walk of Peace is Trondheim’s “Walk of Fame”, but with memorial stones to honor laureates of the Student Peace Prize instead of movie stars. The Student Peace Prize has been awarded biennially since 1999 during the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT). It is awarded on behalf of all Norwegian students to a student or student organization working to promote peace, democracy and human rights.

The memorial stones were first put down in 2011 and are designed by former NTNU student Åshild Herdlevær. The momorial stones are to be found at Jomfrugata street in the city center.
