Anno 1858

At “Sjøbadet” you can take a break from everyday life, summer or winter. This is Trondheim’s most central swimming spot, with the city’s most beautiful views and sunset towards Munkholmen, across the fjord and the Fosen Alps. Here you can swim in the fjord, sunbathe and relax in the summer. From June 1st, Sjøbadet is open to all and served with an open kiosk, including the sale of coffee, waffles, ice cream and hot dogs. The bath is located on Brattøra and has both swimming platform, diving tower and separate men’s and women’s departments for sunbathing with and without clothes. Modern and handicap-friendly shower / toilet and wardrobe.

In winter, the bath is reserved for members only, except on the last Sunday of the month where it is open for anyone who wants to try the winter bath and sauna. It costs 100 NOK and is advertised on the Facebook page.

* By weather dependent it means all sunny days, and every other day if the temperature is above 15 degrees and it does not rain. To be on the safe side, it is recommended to check Sjøbadets Facebook pages for information.

Directions

The sea bath is located on St. Olavs Pir behind the railway station in Trondheim. A nice little walk or bike ride from anywhere in the city center.
