Enjoy Swimming with a View
Pirbadet – situated in the transition between sea and shore – is Norway’s biggest bathing facility and is placed on the waterfront with the city’s best view! Pirbadet is co-located with a fitness centre, and is able boast of about half a million guests per year.
Here, nearly all the attractions are found in one big room. They offer some bathing toys, but you may also bring along your own. Some refer to the facility as a “bathing cathedral”. The proximity and the view of the sea, weather and wind, and not in the least Munkholmen, is fascinating. Here, you will find summer temperatures, both ashore and in the water throughout the whole the year! This is the place for fun, workout and relaxation!
For the Children
In the toddlers’ area, that is shaped like the Selbusjøen lake, river Nidelva and the Trondheim fiord, there are water guns and various toys for the small children. The water holds about 31 degrees C. Here, you will also find a jacuzzi.
Nearby the dry café on the 1st floor, it’s a small Play room for the children, furnished with small tables and chairs and a lot of toys. Here, you will also find crayons and paper, and we love children’s drawings. It is possible to eat in the same room. The room is mainly for the children, but adults is also welcome.
For the elder ones there is both a wave pool, climbing wall, water slides, a stream and a high-dive platform.
Well being & Sauna
Relax in calm surroundings. The department consists of 2 dry saunas (they hold about 80-90 degrees C, one for ladies and one for gentlemen), Ice Fountain, Adventure Shower, Caldarium ( in short: the hottest room/sweat room in the ancient Roman baths), toilets. In addition, you may have a massage.
In the quiet corner to the north-west, you will find the well-being pool. The pool is situated with a panoramic glass wall towards the Trondheim fiord. Her, you may enjoy the massage of the powerful jacuzzi nozzles along the exterior wall, or relax on the jacuzzi bench. The water holds 34 degrees C.
A visit to the sauna brings well-being to both body and soul! We have two dry saunas (traditional saunas that hold about 80-90 degrees C), one for ladies and one for gentlemen, as well as a steam sauna that is unisex.
Bathing Shop
The bathing shop is stocked with a lot of swimwear in all sizes, bathing nappies, swimming equipment and more.
Some of the trade marks are: Zoggs, Speedo and Aquarapid. These brands are known for good quality and withstand chlorine. The bathing shop has the same opening hours as the bathing facility.
