The lake is located at Lian in Bymarka, not far from the center of Trondheim. Here you will find large grassy plains where it is nice to both play and sunbathe. Swimming platform, barbecue and campfire. If you have a fishing rod, the lake has fish, but remember that you must arrange a fishing license for the day.

If you want to spend the night in nature, Lian Lake is a great place to set up your tent for the night. For those who want a short hike, you can also walk around the water in approx. 40 minutes.


Directions

By car you can park at the Lian parking lot. If using public transport, the tram will be the best option as it goes all the way up with Lian as the end stop. “Gråkallbanen” is the northernmost tram line in the world and is one of Trondheim’s tourist attractions. The tram leaves several times an hour from the stop at St. Olavs gate in the city center. Check AtB for timetable for Tram 9.
