Nidaros Pilegrimsgård

Nidaros Pilgrimsgård is idyllically situated between the river Nidelven and Nidaros Cathedral, about 3 minutes walk from Trondheim city center and close to the city’s other important sights. Both pilgrims and non-pilgrims are warmly welcome. All rooms have a private shower with bathroom and are provided with bed linen and towels.

Pilegrimsgården is also the information center for Pilegrimsleden (the Pilgrim Paths) – St. Olav Ways to Trondheim. It is a great place to visit before venturing out on your pilgrim adventure, the staff is there to provide helpful tips and guidance for experienced and prospective wanderers.

Streif Bakeri og Café

Offering delectable lunch dishes, baked goods and sweet treats of the highest quality to pilgrims, tourists and locals alike – Streif Bakery and Café is a hidden gem located at the pilegrim center.

Take your pick of the treats on offer – the Pilgrim waffle, the homemade cakes and cookies, all made with from scratch and with love and care by the staff at Streif. All baked goods are made using only ancient grains. Their sourdough bread is from local bakery Isak.

The outdoor dining area is an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of city life. Amongst lush greenery you can enjoy a respite with excellent views of the Nidelva river and the picturesque Bakklandet neighbourhood.
