Experience a walk with a difference and gain an insight into the rich history of the indigenous Sami people. Embark on a journey through art and culture, see Sami artefacts that have never been displayed before, Sami arts and crafts and traditional handicrafts

This exciting walk starts at the contemporary art institution Kunsthall Trondheim situated at Kongensgate 2. Explore the exhibition Something is slowly moving in a different direction at your leisure. Continue to the NTNU University Museum at Erling Skakkes gate 47B to see the exhibition Who owns the story, which is part of the programme for Tråante 2017 marking 100 years since the Sami people’s first congress. Continue on foot or by bus to Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum situated at Sverresborg allé 13. You can catch bus no. 18 from Prinsenkrysset – check the timetable at atb.no. On arrival, you can see three exhibitions melted into one about Sami art and traditional handicrafts Duedtie/Duodji/Duodje. This price includes a picnic basket. After gaining an insight into Sami art and handicrafts, you can enjoy a picnic lunch in the green spaces at the museum.
